Experience on Snowfer is very similar to water sailing. Techniques can be easily transferred either way using the same set of sails as on water and a standard 8-mm star base connection.

In 1995, the first Snowfer class regatta was introduced, by 1996 it has tripled its size. The Third Annual Snowfer Class Regatta is scheduled for February 1997 on Lake Simcoe, Ontario, Canada and is already showing further growth.

Snowfer Inc. is introducing its latest design for the 1997 season, which will be superior to other existing Snowfer board designed so far. They will call the board KC 3X Pro Race.
The KC 3X Pro Race has the short board maneuverability on ice and long board control on snow. This board will be chosen as international one design class board for all Snowfer Regattas. It can satisfy any level of sailing on snow and ice. The board comes fully loaded with four solid mounting blades and two front and rear pivoting blades plus foot straps.
