Always check the ice condition before you start sailing. Drill holes in the area where you are going to sail in to test ice thickness. Especially important in the beginning of the season. Make sure the ice thickness is not less than 4 inch and hard (known as black ice). Never go on the ice alone. Wear a life jacket, helmet and have an ice pick with you at all times. Ice/snow sailing & kitesurfing are a wonderful winter sport. Play it safe at all times.

Snowfer Ice Sailing

Weekend of Jan 14-16, 2011

Snowfering Fun Fun

They say a picture is worth a thousand word. The video we posted for this weekend says it all. Snow storm started the day to frigid cold weather by the end. But nothing will compare the day on Saturday January 15 after the storm. Skies cleared and turned into an excellent day the best for snow sailing we had so far. It’s our first time trying the GoPro video camera and it captured the fun time we had sailing on powder snow. More videos will be posted soon. For a sample click here to see.
